Handy Mind is a Windows tray app that runs your own AI actions in the input you are using. Each action has a name, a prompt, a keyboard shortcut, and an AI model. The result goes back where you were typing.
You choose the AI provider and use your own API key. Optional Google Drive sync keeps your actions and prompts the same on every PC.
App downloads are not yet publicly available.
How Handy Mind works
- Your actions
- Write a prompt once, such as “fix grammar” or “translate to English”, and give it a global shortcut. Actions can rewrite selected text, write at an empty caret, or describe an image you copied.
- Safe paste
- The tray icon counts the seconds while a request runs. If you switch windows meanwhile, the result waits on the clipboard; return to the same input and press the same shortcut to paste it.
- Your provider
- Connect Google Gemini or an OpenAI compatible endpoint with your own API key. Keys stay encrypted on your PC.
- Drive sync
- Choose to connect Google Drive. Handy Mind syncs your action definitions through handymind-actions.json in your own Drive. API keys never leave the PC.
